Digital Media Professionals Inc. (Head Office: Nakano-ku, Tokyo; Chairman, President and CEO: Tatsuo Yamamoto; hereinafter “DMP”) hereby announces that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (hereinafter the “MOU”) with Sparsh CCTV, a pioneering Indian brand that designs and manufactures CCTV cameras and electronic security solutions (hereinafter “Sparsh CCTV”) (DMP and Sparsh CCTV, hereinafter collectively the “Parties”), to explore potential collaboration (hereinafter the “Collaboration”) on the development of a next-generation edge AI CCTV camera utilizing DMP’s edge AI SoC “Di1”.

In recent years, the surveillance camera field has seen a global shift toward the use of edge AI-based video analytics technologies, in which AI processing is performed on the camera terminal side rather than in the cloud. Processing AI on the edge side is expected to deliver benefits such as improved real-time performance, reduced communication costs, and enhanced security. As a result, demand for surveillance systems supporting edge AI is expected to expand further in the future.

■ Strategic Background of the Collaboration
DMP’s Di1 is an edge AI semiconductor designed to efficiently execute AI-based image recognition processing on edge devices and is expected to be applied to various vision AI equipment, including security cameras. Sparsh CCTV, meanwhile, is a manufacturer engaged in development and production of CCTV systems in India and possesses advanced expertise in the design and mass production of surveillance camera products.
Under this Collaboration, the Parties will combine DMP’s edge AI semiconductor technology with Sparsh CCTV’s product development & design capabilities to explore and initiate preliminary development activities for a next-generation CCTV camera capable of executing AI processing functions inside the camera itself, targeting the Indian surveillance camera market, where significant growth is expected.
For DMP, this Collaboration represents an important opportunity to expand concrete market deployment of Di1 and to accelerate the rollout of edge AI solutions overseas. In particular, in the Indian market, where medium- to long-term market growth is expected against the backdrop of population size, urbanization, and increasing safety and security demand, the ability to explore collaboration with a leading local manufacturer is of great significance for DMP’s future business expansion.

■ Anticipated Roles and Responsibilities
DMP
– Provision of Di1
– Technical support to maximize overall system performance

Sparsh CCTV
– Hardware design and system development of CCTV cameras
– System integration of Di1
– Development and performance evaluation of prototypes

■ Development Schedule
Following the execution of this MOU, the Parties plan to prepare prototypes with a view toward mass production over an approximate period of five months. Through verification of prototypes within a short timeframe, the Parties will assess the feasibility of commercialization.

This schedule may change depending on development progress, the results of technical verification, and other factors.

■ Envisioned Rollout in the Event of Future Commercialization
Initial year: Approx. 50,000 units
Second year: Approx. 100,000 units
Third year: Several hundred thousand units

■ Future Outlook
DMP is promoting the deployment of various edge AI applications, primarily vision AI equipment that leverages edge AI semiconductors. This Collaboration is positioned as an important step in extending these efforts to overseas markets. Going forward, taking into account development progress, market conditions, and customer needs, the Parties will continue discussions on specific details of the Collaboration.
DMP will continue to leverage its proprietary GPU/AI technologies as a core strength to expand implementation opportunities in growth markets and enhance its corporate value over the medium to long term.
