2019年12月から2020年2月初旬にかけて、1Dayインターンシップを開催しました。
2021年卒の理系学生さんを対象に、「DMPを知ってもらおう」という目的で合計11名の学生さんにご参加いただきました。

幅広いIT業界の中でも、比較的ものづくりに近い「組込み」という分野が得意な会社です。状況が沈静化したら、インターンシップや採用に関するプログラム、コンテンツを増やしていきます。

インターンシップの場で学生さん達とお話した結果、「組込み」という分野の認知度があまり高くないことに気が付きました。
組込み機器とは、「特定の機能を実現することを目的とした機器」で、家電やカメラ、車載機器など多岐にわたりますが、共通した大きな特徴はソフトウェアでハードウェアを制御することです。PCと比べるとサイズや消費電力などに大きな制限があり、どのように小さく効率の良いプログラムを書くかなどハードウェアを意識した開発をします。ここがSEやWeb開発と違うところです。
また、組込み機器は実際にモノがあるので、この機器は自分が自分が作った、自分が動かしている、というまさにものづくりの醍醐味が得られます。例えば、ゲーム機で遊んでいる子ども達を見て、自分が作ったソフトウェアが彼らを笑顔にしている！という感動を味わうことができます。

現状を踏まえ、インターンシップを中断していますが、今年の採用チームのミッションは、組込み開発の魅力を多くの学生さんに伝えるべく、1Dayインターンシップを継続すること及びより長い期間のプログラムを計画することです。事態が鎮静化した暁には、インターンシップの再開をお知らせできればと思っています。

当社は新卒採用を通年行っており、学歴・学部・経験不問で、未経験者大歓迎です！

We held one-day internship from December 2019 to early February 2020.
This internship program was intended to let students who are in the science and engineering majors and are going to graduate in 2021 know better about DMP. A total of 11 students applied for and participated in the internship.

* A program for beginners to image what the embedded software development is like

DMP is strong in the field of “embedding” which is relatively close to manufacturing among a broad spectrum of IT industry. We will increase internship and recruitment programs when the situation subsides.

We talked with students at internship and noticed that the awareness of the field of “embedding” isn’t so high.
Embedded devices are “devices intended to realize specific functions” and cover a wide variety of areas such as home appliances, digital cameras, and in-vehicle devices whose major common character is that “software controls hardware.” Compared to PCs, there are significant restrictions on size and power consumption, etc., so the development is performed with hardware in mind such as how to write small and efficient programs, which is different from system engineer and Web development.
Also, you can feel the real pleasure of “making things” (manufacturing) by operating the real device in front of you. For example, seeing children playing on a game console, you can feel the excitement that the software your created is making them smile.

Taking the current situation into account, we have suspended internship programs. However, the mission of this year’s recruiting team is to continue one-day internship and plan a program with longer period to appeal a pleasure of embedded development to many students. We will inform you of resumption of internship when the situation subsides.

We are recruiting new graduates throughout the year, regardless of educational background, faculty or experience. Inexperienced students are welcome!
We are confident in offering a challenging career to those who are interested in “making things” and/or AI (Artificial Intelligence) field and can communicate in Japanese or English.
