How to activate the Learning Kit

Before the Learning Kit can be used, the product must first be activated (the license must be authenticated). Use the following procedure to activate the product.

Note: In principle, each license key can only be activated once. The license cannot be reactivated on a different computer, so carefully consider which computer will be used before executing the activation.

Preparation

Prepare the following before starting the activation:

  1. AndroidLK_0000_en.zip (This package file can be either downloaded or obtained from the product CD.)
  2. License key (the license key number that you have been given)
  3. A computer that meets the system requirements.
  4. An environment that is connected to the Internet.

Notes

  • An Internet connection is required for activation.
  • If necessary, adjust the system time for the computer before starting the activation.
  • The license will be valid for a period of one year after the activation is completed.

Activation

(1) Create a new folder and decompress AndroidLK_0000.zip to this folder, so that the folder contains the following files:

  • AndroidLK.exe　(executable file for the Learning Kit)
  • AndroidLK.lic　(license information file)
  • AndroidLK.mmf　(database for storing Learning Kit data)
  • course1.zip　(contains the complete set of source code for the sample programs)
  • licview.bat (batch file for displaying license information)
  • Readme.txt (file explaining how to activate and operate the Learning Kit)
  • UsageConditions.txt (file explaining the license agreement)

(2) Next, run AndroidLK.exe. Enter the following information in the dialog box that is displayed:

  • Enter Your Serial Number：　Enter the license key that you have been given.
  • Enter Your Name/Company：　Enter your name or the name of your company.
  • Enter Your E-Mail Address：　Enter your email address.

Enter all of these items, and then click the Next button.

* The Serial Number is 30 digit string, consisting of six blocks of five digits, with blocks separated by hyphens.

* All items must be entered.

(3) The Web Activation dialog box will be displayed. Click the Activate now button to run the activation.

To access the activation URL via a proxy server, click the Proxy settings link and make the appropriate settings in the dialog box that is displayed.

The following dialog box will be displayed while the activation is in progress. Activation normally only takes a few seconds to complete.

(4) The following dialog box will be displayed if activation is successful.

Click the Close button to complete the activation.

* Finally, click the Next button to start content automatically.

How to use the Learning Kit

After the activation is complete, the Learning Kit can be used by performing the following steps.

How to operate the Learning Kit

When the Learning Kit starts, the following screen will be displayed, and content will start playing, starting from the first page. Users can pause or skip playback, adjust the volume or select which items to play. By selecting the slide title while playback is paused, users can browse through the content of each page.

By selecting the Search tab, a menu will appear as in the screenshot below, and search keywords can be entered. The titles of the pages that include the keywords that have been entered will be displayed, and users can play or browse the content by clicking on the desired title.

Sample programs

The sample programs included with the Learning Kit have been tested in the environments listed below. Refer to the explanations in Learning Kit for detailed information on how to make settings, and so on.
